Building a portfolio company

Virtuoso is looking for an outstanding CFO for one of its portfolio companies. Based in London, CFO will play a key role in developing, monitoring and evaluating overall strategy with the CEO and lead the financial aspects of growth, international expansion, capital raising, M&A and exit. Ideally from a digital background with experience  of accelerated growth and delivering against aggressive targets.

CFO essential responsibilities

To articulate budgets and be the guardian of the Groups financial strategy 
Report monthly financial results to the board of directors, investors and VC 
Manage financial capital; communicate requirements; ensure compliance 
Grow revenues, profit and equity value 
Drive rest of business strategies from Financial standpoint 
Establish new and improved internal systems & processes 
Effectively lead your team by hiring and retaining top-grade talent – globally 
Lead financial aspects of M&A activities 
Prepare well for exit 

Participate in key decisions as a member of the Executive management team 
Maintain and cultivate open communications with all members of the Finance team
Implement operational best practices 
Oversee employee benefit plans globally, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost effective benefits package to include Pensions/Health care/ Employee Insurances 

Risk Management 
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile 
Construct and monitor reliable control systems 
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of audited accounts 
Maintain relations with external auditors 

Desired Qualifications: 

The CFO will ideally hold a master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a growth company.
